Jacee & gymnastics♥

This week has been super fun. Jacee attended her first gymnastics lesson, and absolutely loved it. She was soaking up every minute of it and beaming from ear to ear. I was so excited for her, as I watched from a distance. Her coach is a friend of our family so I stood just close enough to learn the gymnastics vocabulary, but far away enough to not get in the way.

Today was a fun day filled with swimming, fellowship with good friends, and LONG nap day! We came home from our full day and all four children slept so hard. I am so very thankful.  A scripture that has been pressing on my heart the past week is Luke 2:10.  She had happiness and thankfulness deep down in her heart.  My prayer is to live out true joy in all circumstances, and not to let my emotions, fear or insecurities take over.

Thankful for their Paw-Paw.

Today was such a fun day.  Our whole family spent the afternoons together and it was so great to watch the kids with their daddy.  The sound of laughing, screaming out because someone was scaring someone.  I can't count on two hands the number of times someone jumps out and scares another in one day.  Paw Paw Moughon is the worlds best at scaring and teasing! He taught his son well, and of course Jason is teaching his children.  One would think I would have gotten use to it by now, but I still jump 2 feet off the ground and squeal like I am 5 years old.  There are so many things I am thankful for and the older I get the more thankful I become.  Today, I am thankful for my father in law.  What an incredible man he is and wonderful  insight he has taught me the past 10 years.  He is humble, kind, softhearted, respectful, loves the Lord, loves his wife, loves his sons, welcoms his daughter in laws as if they were his own blood and is completely crazy about his 8 grandchildren!  I have seen this man walk through tough situations in life and carry his family though tough stuff.  When Jason and I were dating I remember someone telling me to pay close attention to his dad and their relationship because it could very well give me an idea of what kind of husband and father Jason would be one day. I didnt understand what that meant until recently.  I am thankful for my father in law for many reasons but mainly because he taught my husband so many things that I admire.  Jason is one of the hardest working men I have ever met, his love for father in Heaven is true, and he will climb the greatest mountain for the people he loves.  Thank you Lord for the two generations of Moughon men that my children will be able to learn from and to teach their own children.  Jackson has been super sweet about his Paw Paw lately and talks about him daily.  "Can I go see pawpaw", says Jackson.  I love it!

A few months ago I was having a tough day and my attitude was "stinky".  Paw Paw was around our house helping Jason with something and noticed my attitude.  After several moments of listening to me grumble about silly stuff he looks at me and says "It's not that bad, it could be worse."   I pondered on that statement for a good while.  I still think back to that moment and understand it so clearly.
This man who had just had recently been told he had cancer, went through major surgery, and was standing in my house healthy and cancer free had spoken real, honest words to me.  No matter what circumstances come my way I do not want to loose sight of what God is blessing me with at this very moment.  Each breath I take I want to have true happiness and thankfulness deep down in my heart.  Luke 2:10
This verse has been on my heart for a few weeks now and I continue to pray it over my life.
